On writing my novel

I am going to use this Blog to post current writings or ideas in my fictional world of Fenria. Right now I am in the middle, well at this point stalled, of writing a novel based in this world. I would call it a Fantasy novel since it seems to fit that description the best. From an outside point of view it could also be a story of the redemption of ones soul. I foresee it being told in three parts and I have named them already.

Aedons Heart
Aedons Fall
Aedons Soul

Whether these will be altogether different books I am not sure yet. I have about seven chapters in the rough stages. That translates to about 80 pages. I would consider only about 20 pages of it even close to edited. My best friend has a Masters Degree in Creative Writing so he is a wonderful source for correcting my terrible grammar and horrible spelling issues. I like to think of myself as more of a creative person rather than a person with excellent prose. I was gifted with one and I severely lack in the later. I try and make up for it by surrounding myself with people who understand the written word greater than I do.

My teacher this past summer for English is the person most deserving of my renewed interest in tackling this novel. I know that the chances of getting something like this published is nearly impossible, but in my later years when I am in my virtual death bed roaming around online as a cyber-grandfather I can look back and say I wrote a book. Thats my goal and I'm sticking with it.
